Conducting Self-Tests

Next you will practice conducting a self-test of the pitch axis computer.

Scenario: An aircraft has come into the station with the logbook write-up shown at left.

You have reviewed the aircraft's discrepancy history in SCEPTRE. Click the computer screen graphic to review /FOR IDI information.

You have also located the troubleshooting procedure in the TSM, which indicates that the most probable fault is a defective pitch axis computer. Click the TSM graphic to review the TSM reference.

Your first action is to conduct a self-test of the computer. Your co-worker, Joe, has agreed to help you conduct the self-test. He will be in the flight compartment and you will be in the E&E compartment.
